  • Truss-N-Stuff (http://www.trussnstuff.com/) provides professional entertainment technical services for the touring dance convention industry. We’re currently hiring skilled Production Managers for our upcoming touring season.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee all pre-production logistics for each event, including scheduling labor and security, setting crew call times, coordinating truck arrivals, and handling additional advance planning needs.

    • Travel to host cities as part of the touring schedule & lead/manage both touring and local crews from load-in through load-out

    • Supervise and participate in all load-in and load-out operations, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.

    • This is not solely a hands-off role…as Production Manager, you will also serve as the on-site Crew Chief, which includes hands-on work such as truck loading/unloading, staging assembly, and assisting with A/V and lighting setup as necessary. You are expected to be present and active from the start to the end of each load-in and load-out

    • Ensure maintenance of equipment by touring personnel

    • Ensure all gear is packed securely and efficiently for safe transport to the next city

    • Uphold and protect Truss-N-Stuff’s (as well as the client’s) professional image and reputation at all events, both domestically and internationally

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Prior experience with dance conventions or competitions is highly preferred (please highlight this on your resume)

    • Minimum 2 years Technical & Production Management experience in a theatrical setting is required

    • Basic knowledge of theatrical production (staging, lighting, audio/video, rigging) is required

    • Ability to work long hours and overnight shifts in fast-paced production environments

    • Willingness to travel extensively and work on tour

    • US citizenship with a valid US Passport and Canada eligibility. As our tours visit Canada you will be required to secure a passport for travel.

    Tour Commitment

    • Availability for the full duration of the assigned tour is required. Tour prep usually begins in early October and the tour runs the end of October through May, with a final week-long show in late June or early July

    • Travel to event cities typically occurs Wednesday or Thursday

    • Events run Friday through Sunday, with setup on Thursday afternoon/evening

    • Return travel on Monday

    • You will typically be home part of Monday, all day Tuesday, and part/all of Wednesday depending on the needs of that specific show. In rare instances direct travel from show to show may be required.

    • Additional pre-production & post-production work (for example booking labor, working with equipment rental providers, and submitting paperwork/billing) will be required outside of the typical touring commitment.

    In the entertainment industry CDL Class A Truck Drivers are responsible for safely transporting production gear across North America. This role involves more than just driving - you’ll play an integral part in the live event production process by supporting load-in/load-out and coordinating truck logistics at venues nationwide.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate 53’ tractor-trailers to transport production equipment to event venues across the U.S. and Canada

    • Assist with loading and unloading of trailers at Truss-N-Stuff & client facilities as well as show venues

    • Assist with full setup & breakdown of all equipment during load-in & load-out

    • Oversee and enforce safety procedures during all load-in/load-out operations

    • Perform general upkeep and basic maintenance of truck and trailer

    • Coordinate repairs with local maintenance providers in each city as needed

    • Maintain accurate logbooks, collect and submit receipts, and manage petty cash records

    • Report directly to the Transportation Supervisor and show Production Manager

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)

    • Valid CDL Class A License

    • Valid DOT medical card & long form

    • Must pass a background check

    • US citizenship with a valid US Passport and Canada eligibility. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this; you must either currently possess or have the ability to possess a US passport to enter Canada.

    • Exceptional trailer backing & maneuvering skills

    • Experience with winter & mountain driving conditions
